Chad Vaughn is a renowned Olympic Weightlifter. He is a 2-time Olympian, 9-time National Champion, and an American and World Record Holder in the Clean and Jerk. With more than 15 years of experience and an extensive list of accomplishments in Olympic Weightlifting, Chad has positioned himself as one of the most sought after experts in the sport.
He shares his knowledge leading clinics all over the world with athletes of all levels and coaches looking to expand their knowledge. His goal in this course is to ensure the athlete has an opportunity to advance their own application of squat mobility so that they are able to move better, train with purpose, and ultimately lift more weight.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Why Mobility for Weightlifting?
The Squat is fundamental to functional movement and is the building block for all effective training. It not only benefits the health and longevity of an athlete, but it can also maximize the performance of the athlete as well. Athletes and coaches who take the time to develop an understanding of mobility for Weightlifting, are awarded enhanced movement quality within CrossFit and its general barbell movements.
What is this course?
Simply put: the goal of this course is to make sure your squat is flexible, comfortable, and strong. Evolving from years of practical application and shared professional discussion, this course introduces key training principles, movement strategies, drill work, front rack and t-spine positioning, and progressions to strengthen your movement and coaching journey.
How is this experience presented?
Course participants will enter into a first-person lecture and movement practical that is broken down into easily understandable and applicable parts. Upon completion and practice, you will be able to confidently apply specific mobility protocols and solution-focused plans. You will also be able to identify common stumbling blocks related to mobility and movement quality.
